Beaches
The town itself has a small beach, part of which is kept dog free during the summer season, but if you want deserted beaches and space to yourselves, you don’t have to go far. Due to the moving sands of the Strait, the sandiness of Lleiniog beach, which is on the road to Penmon, does vary from year to year but for miles of reliable sand, a short drive to Llandona beach at low tide, will give you plenty of space for even the most athletic to enjoy. For those seeking a bit of adventure, there is Fedw Fawr, for which the parking is limited and access is across National Trust land down to the beach on a rough path and steps, but once there the clear water and sheltered nature of the bay make it a haven. We have even had a seal join us whilst swimming just off there.
